SKIPPER BREAKS THUMB
Giants Captain Chris Thorman, having struggled all week with a thumb injury,
saw a specialist on Thursday afternoon after training.
Thorman has been diagnosed with a broken thumb and will be
out for up to 6 weeks.
“It’s disappointing for the team, but even more disappointing for Chris” said
Giants Head Coach Jon Sharp.
“He was hoping to enjoy a good run of form after finally getting over an ankle
injury so we all feel for him. This latest news came right out of the blue. He picked up the injury during the Wigan game
and, even though he was in a bit of pain in training, he didn’t think it was too serious, but after training yesterday
(Thursday), he thought he’d better get it checked out because it wasn’t getting better and that’s when a
crack in the bone was revealed.
“The only consolation is that a surgeon was able to operate immediately, but
it’s still going to keep him out for six weeks.”

Giants could be in trouble!!
It really isnt look great for the Giants at the moment with now having lost 5 games in a row! it doesnt
get any easier though because they have to face a rampant saints side who havnt lost yet in the league. Last time the 2 teams
played the Giants ran them very close and both teams played really well with saints just squeezing the win. Giants improved
a lot in the last game but still silly mistakes cost them the match. They will be looking to turn the season around and anything
is possible in SuplerLeague but if the Giants dont start winning a few soon then they are deffinatly in a relagation fight.
Many fans think we should get rid of the coach to start up our form again but what ever it takes should
be done. COME ON THE GIANTS!!
